A Bigger Picture

Two years ago we began to think of how we could spread the news about Meridian Point into our community in a way that would keep people up to date on our events, encouraged in their spiritual walk, and reminded of who we are and what we stand for. We took a look at what some other churches were doing and found an avenue that works in a very effective way. We began publishing our own church magazine.

We call it The CORE Magazine for a few reasons: 1) The point of the magazine to help develop the CORE of our church. We post our service times and location to remind us to attend Corporate Worship (C), there are articles to encourage us in our daily walk with God to help us remain Others Focused (O), lists of upcoming events to help us develop deeper Relationships with others that attend Meridian Point (R), and a list of all our most recent available classes to encourage us in our biblical Education (E). 2) We also wanted to develop a way for the church to have something to give to their neighbors, friends, and acquaintances to invite them to see what a relationship with God is all about. It's a great visual and tangible medium for sharing information. 3) The CORE Magazine is issued about three times a year and covers a longer time period for all our events that take place, allowing everyone who reads the magazine plenty of time to plan and mark their calendars.
